Eastern Connecticut Student Scholarships

At Health Eudcation Center, Inc. we are passionate about health and the advancement of youth in Eastern Connecticut into the healthcare field. For this reason, our organization fundraises to provide scholarships for local youths who are pursuing careers in healthcare.

Last year, x students were awarded a cumulative y dollars toward their education. With your help, we can give more and make an even greater impact on the students in our area.

Our Youth Health Service Corps and Collegiate Health Service Corps help to prepare and educate students about careers in healthcare. With YHSC, students in middle and high school are taught about healthcare and health careers inside and outside of the class room. In CHSC, college students become the teachers as they go out into the community to educate individuals in underserved populations about thier own personal health.

Your donation will help provide supplies for these amazing programs so that we can continue to provide hands-on learning experiences.

Interprofession Education Clinics

At our Interprofessional Education (IPE) Clincs, students who are studying various diciplines come together to provide care to underserved populations. Currently, our clinics are attended by students in six different diciplines. All student work is overseen by volunteer professionals who are currently serving in thier fields. Our IPE Clinics are held once a week at four sites around Eastern Connecticut.

Any donations that are given to our IPE clinics will go towards medical supplies that these students need in order to provide health care to the medically underserved in Eastern Connecticut.

Various Trainings

At Health Education Center, Inc. we also provide numerous trainings for the community. A full list of our trainings can be found under the programs & trainings tab on our website.

Donations for these trainings will go towards supplies as well as to provide scholarships for community members to attend the trainings at no cost to themself.
