Our Inter-professional education clinics cultivate an interdisciplinary environment in which medical, nursing, pharmacy, and pre-health professional students interact and care for patients as a team. Health profession students from various disciplines come together to host a free walk-in clinic for soup kitchen patrons and other members of the community who may experience difficulty accessing healthcare. Students are provided the opportunity to practice effective communication skills while coordinating services with a diverse patient population under the guidance of certified healthcare professionals.

This program creates a foundation for clinician skill development in the patient-centered care model, builds bridges between medically underserved and mainstream healthcare & social service systems, and provides health education and chronic disease self-management programming based on population health needs.
